This is a fashion show inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos, staged in the legendary town of Innsmouth.
Here, fashion ceases to be mere adornment and becomes an embodiment of the deep sea and forbidden rites. The garments appear to be crafted from flesh and decayed tissue, carrying a damp and unsettling texture—like remnants torn from the bodies of unknown creatures. Folds and frayed edges echo the sea breeze and rot, evoking the passage of time, death, and unspeakable powers.The show is both a redefinition of fashion and a ritualistic narrative. The audience is no longer a passive observer but is summoned into Innsmouth, standing at the threshold of myth and reality, to witness the coexistence of elegance and horror.

This is a palace of Innsmouth that I designed, its interior steeped in dampness, shadows, and the aura of the unknown. Arched vaults and stone pillars seem to carry ancient whispers, while the walls and floors glimmer with the sheen of sunken relics. It is not merely architecture, but a site of ritual.Within this palace, fashion intertwines with ceremony, as textures of flesh and decay merge into both garments and environment, shaping an atmosphere that is at once mysterious and unsettling. The audience moves through mist and incantations, becoming part of a mythic narrative—witnessing the convergence of elegance and dread.

I have reconstructed the village of Innsmouth, placing the runway upon a mist-shrouded pier. It is both a stage and an altar, both a harbor and a threshold to the unknown. The audience moves through the damp air as if drawn into an ancient ritual.The garments are designed with the texture of flesh and decay, as though torn from deep-sea creatures, exuding an elegance that is both perilous and uncanny. Structural layers give the show a sense of composition, transforming the pier into a living architecture, half-seen through the fog.This is where fashion, ritual, and myth converge—a show that is not only couture, but also a narrative of fear and beauty.

A Semiotic Asset Display

This work explores the notion of the “pure symbol,” using Innsmouth as its point of departure. There are no palaces or tangible structures here—only a semiotic asset display composed of signs. Flesh, decay, mist, and tides are abstracted into symbols, no longer tied to material reality but functioning as nodes of metaphor and narrative.Within this display, fashion, environment, and ritual are transformed into semiotic assets, their meanings emerging through the act of interpretation. The work exists not as an object, but as a symbolic system—one that speaks of myth, power, and dread.

This is an emotional work born from the weight of oppression I experienced in 2022. The act of creation is not only a record of that time but also a process of release. Shadows, fractures, and blurred boundaries in the visuals embody the unspoken heaviness and inner conflict.The work stands as both a personal narrative and a shared resonance of emotion. It invites the viewer to enter that moment of suppression, to witness how feelings are transformed into imagery and atmosphere through the language of art.
